No. Progression is needed. Less platforms means less extra work. Less work means more focus.

Exactly! We may finally see dedicated servers when they drop half the system support
-
Aye drop half the system support then consolidate into the remaining would increase quality and lower the overall workload and stress on the team. Work smarter not harder.
-
Good point. I think Bungie is stretched a little thin trying to support 4 consoles, and probably why it's not on pc. The ps3 and 360 operate very differently, but ps4 and x1 operate very much the same, like PC's. So theoretically it should lessen the workload and allow for better quality content. Less platforms means less profit, less profit means less work completely.
-
More platforms incur more operating and maintaining costs. It's still in the same profit range with less platforms.
-
With more profit from the last gen they can help fund the game and make it better which is better for everyone.
-
No because last gen still holds it back if you haven't realized go check out other games for next and last gen because they didn't go over to well due to the game being held back by last gen it's a fact that has been proven slot last gen I s holding games back and it's 2016 ps2 and original Xbox never had all of this after the next gen came out and also 18 million for X1 and over 20 million for ps4 they will still make a crap ton of money so realize this last gen can't support these next gen games
-
The funds they get from last gen get divided up into support and maintenance, the overall last gen systems will hemorrhage money assets eventually then halt progression. Isn't worth it the overall loss.
-
Keyword "Eventually" just keep them and then when they actually start causing bungie to lose money dump them.
-
Yes and that "eventually" has already passed. If you want to progress in destiny, you're going to have to upgrade your system and let the last gen become nostalgic gamer heaven.
