Destiny would lose players who can't afford to buy a next gen.
They'll be shooting themselves in the foot

360 and ps3 are almost dead.

They are dead.

It'll be 2017. Players that want to play it can figure out how to save up $300 or whatever a PS4/XBONE will cost by then.
-
Little off topic but does 360 games work on the one
-
Idk, I know there were talks about something like that, but I don't pay too much attention to xbox (I've got a PS4).
-
There are some 360 games selected for you that could work on the xbox one. Check out if the game you play is compatible on the Xbox One at the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility page.

Edited by CasualSpooner: 2/12/2016 7:05:51 PMI'd guess that the number of players on last gen is pretty small by now. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot by making a game held back by 12 year hardware, and further pissing off the larger player base

I switch back and forth between 360 and one for a friend and the pickings on 360 are slim. If you don't raid on Tuesday or Wednesday you don't raid at all for the week. Ditching last gen consoles is the only way to make significant progress with the game considering the engine pushes the limits of the 360 as is. It would be tough to add another game on top of that.

Well then lucky for everyone else that we are not in charge of that decision
-
yep. i mean, there is a chance they will keep last gen, but i would be REALLY surprised if they do.

I just don't really feel like buying a new console when I got this one like 3 yrs ago. Yeah I showed up late to the xbox party
