  • Lol you really dont know business despite of you " 30 years" of being around business. The 360/ps3 era is dead. They're are not buying new games for their 10 year old console knowing that they wont get the same experience as current gen consoles. If your logic made any sense then current gen games like , the division, dying light, rise off the tomb raider, mortal kombat x, witcher 3, bloodborne, Halo 5, and many more would have old gen releases. But hey I dont have "30 years around businesses" so maybe you need to work for these publishers that make these game cause clearly you know something they dont.

Look, be a smartass all you want, I can assure you only 1 of us here knows what they're talking about, and it isn't you. Especially since, in your world, the 360 / PS3 era is "dead", when there are nearly 30 million registered users still on last gen hardware. Even if only 10% of those users bought Destiny 2 at a $59.99 entry price, that's over $175 million in sales. What idiot, besides you, would leave that amount of money on the table? Please enlighten us all some more with your wealth of knowledge.

  • You calling me the idiot when you think 10% of a 30 million player base will buy destiny on a 10 year old console when barely over a million bought it in the first place. And you think the full $60 of a game goes towards directly to publishers? GTFOH, so they dont pay marketing, disk manufacturing, or sony / microsoft for buying the game on its console? you dont know shit about the gaming business. You're just another basement Michael Pacter that thinks he's know it works. And last you dont even hold stocks in any company so you coming on a gaming forum arguing with people over the financial aspects of a gaming publisher makes you look like the idiot. Muted and blocked. Take your old ass and your "30 years of business experience to forbes "and argue over there. You're the reason why the industry is shit now. Worrying about thing that dont pertain to you.

  • Ahhhh, the old "muted" response when you have absolutely nothing intelligent or constructive to say. So you agree that I'm right.

  • Keeping old Gen limits the potential of the game. The old systems can't support assassin's creed unity so yea they should drop them and produce a far better quality game.

  • It's easy for someone who is not the CEO of a company like Activision to say "just drop them" when that CEO stands to leave 10's of millions of dollars on the table by "just dropping them." If the financial potential is there, and it is, you would be an idiot to leave that much money behind. There can very viably be 2 versions of the game, 1 for old gen & 1 for new gen. NBA2K, Black Ops 3, and Diablo 3 are all currently doing it, just to name a few.

The cost of production will out way the sales in old Gen. It's done time to move on this why there will be no more updates for the 360. By the time the next games out you could save up for one since prices drop and more used systems become available. It's pointless to make 2 games like that if this was 2 years ago maybe but not now move on to the system that can run a better game. Diablo 3 is from 2012 and black ops 3 is so cut down on old Gen it's a waste to play. They won't lose money dropping old Gen they'll gain more by producing a better quality game and not waste resources from splitting development. Your wording and constant use of idiot leads me to infer that you're driven by emotion on your opinion because you're still on old Gen which is no way an objective way to look at things.
