Okay, so I see a lot of people posting a lot of different things in here, and sometimes Cozmo even replies to them. But I'm going to be forward thinking and post some feedback for Destiny 2 that I hope Cozmo can put foerwards to the team:
LEARN FROM DESTINY'S MISTAKES, and learn from similar games too.
You see a lot of posts about how The Divison is going to kill Destiny. And there's a reason for that. Simply put, from what they and players say, they kept an eye on ALL your mistakes and tried to avoid them. And a lot of the gaming world have outright mocked you. Remember the Water Campaign DLC Dying Light did? They weren't the only ones. You've lost the youtuber crowd, the media crowd, and soon enough you will lose the game crowd.
And with Destiny 2? Everyone, from the media, to the youtubers, to the gamers, will be watching you. To see. what. you. do. next.
I'm not going to rule out Destiny 2 being good like a ot of others have. But you need to learn from the mistakes of the past and Destiny 1, and get around that. I will list a few examples I can think of, but if anyone reads this feel free to post any more you think they need to learm from:
Get across what this game is and what it isn't. Tell us what it will be open and don't let any mixed messages get though.
Better communication and community. Don't bullshit us. Don't rev up the hype machine, because we been hyped one time too many times. Be open, but don't -blam!- up with that openness like Lukes ill advised Money at the screen comment. Be friendlier.
TELL US THING BUNGIE. Actualy TELL us things. This radio silence, updates about updates about updates, and slow news days is unhealthy for you and the game.
I hear the engine for Destiny and in general working on the game is really quite hard. You need to find a way to make bug fixes, patches, updates/new content and the like faster, better and more efficient. We went a month without Husk of The Pit. DO not allow this again. And place the same amount of priority on Player HARMING bug fixes and you do for player AIDING bug fixes. The SRL book bug got fixed in 24 hours due to costing you money. Atheon is STILL bugged in AI favor.
WIN BACK THE FANS. I have seen a lot of people actualy care about this game, only to get out because it felt like a abusive reationship. Heck back in release Angry Joe even called it as such. You need to win back the people who used to respect you, because they are who made you what you are.
Keep your promises. You make a promise, you keep it.
Learn from other games. My reccomendations:
Diablo 3: This is a game from the very same company pretty much since the Activision Blizard merger. Like Destiny they had a abysmal launch. UNLIKE Destiny, it got better. Ring them. See what they did. Learn some tricks.
The Division: The Division devs once said they looked at all of Destiny's mistakes, saw what went wrong, and tried to aapt to them. Well do the same. Watch the divison. Learn where THEY mess up. Avoid those mistakes in development BEFORE they become mistakes.
Such is my feedback.
EDIT: Going to post my feedback to the new Roadmap. In some ways it's a start. I mean we have SOME news now. But we still don't know much about them other then the new update will have some more PVE for Replayability. What is meant by replayablity? New PVE modes? New modifiers to missions? It's vague as all hell. It address things slightly and it's a start, but it's not THAT much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we got what we got. But I feel as thogh my points above are still valid.
EDIT 2: Thanks to everyone who has liked this so far. I am also however curious as to what mistakes Bungie and Destiny has made they need to fix in your opnion. There's going to be points I never even considered from people from PVP crowd, Raid Crowd, Mission Crowd, Patrol Crowd ETC. So post them.
