So when the "big expansion" arrives in Spring 2016 and has "significant light level increase", all you people who sweated through the raid grind for months and months to get to that precious, cosmetic light level of 320, how will you feel when any joe guardian can waltz into the tower and buy 320 light level gear? OK TTK wasn't quite that generous, but that is how all the Y1 DLC expansions were.
I'll not be happy to become 320, not that it matters much, since the increasing of light level with every expansion (2-3 times a year) invalidates your in-game progression that you feel like you have earned. After 3 such cycles (going into our 4th light level increase), it is pretty clearly pointless.
Countdown to the bitching and moaning:
3....2....1....SALT!

I would suggest to use it as a structure instead of something that invalidated your progress. Those levels and numbers help prevent everyone who hasn't done things prior from just jumping into endgame and raid activities. Everything in itself has a requirement before doing so. Obviously they set endgame the highest. For the old raids it didn't let you in being several levels behind. That's how I view it anyway- there needs to be some sort of structure on when and what a player can do as they progress. The only thing that players don't like when they do this is when they have to leave items behind. Otherwise I'm sure no one would have problems about doing cycles of leveling if you could have all your goodies still.

Makes a salty post then claims guardians will leave more salt for him.

Vendor gear is more likely to be 300 or 310. Unless they boost the light cap by 30+ then I could easily see vendor gear being 320. Either way it doesn't matter to me.
