Ice Breaker exploit in Trials is for SCRUBS.
DON'T FRONT, NO ONE WAS USING IT IN TRIALS A WEEK AGO NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S A VIABLE OPTION? NO, IT'S BECAUSE THEY TOOK YOUR PRECIOUS SPECIAL AMMO.
If you're doing this you're pathetic.
It happened in my first game of Trials this weekend. All 3 had Icebreakers then switched to their 1000 yards later. The game's been changed for a reason, play it the way it's meant to be played now.
Go ahead and disagree. I won't care. You ladyboys always gotta find an exploit to get cheap kills instead of playing the game right. If you NEED sniper ammo that bad to get a kill then there's more wrong with you than just being a coward in a fake fight.

Its no different to side arm switching or using invective or even that little perk on shotguns wbere if you take critical damage you get a mag full of ammo so stop crying, get good, learn to take advantage of the tools you have scrub. Oh and stop being jealous you dont have ice breaker or go and farm year 1 to get one..

I use it, May as well do the same as everyone else, it shouldn't be a 1 headshot killer, only does 212 to the head so you can't Rez snipe with it but after changing I get 15 shots with Eirene.

Edited by Eternity: 2/16/2016 7:57:02 AMThe issue isn't that people are using the gun to get around Bungie's patch - it's that light level is doing almost nothing to dampen the gun's damage - when really it should be about 50% or lower regardless of total light level in a power advantages playlist.

2 RepliesThe problem is that light level is such a non-issue that it makes using year one weapons a viable option. Changes are needed so that by equipping any Y1 weapon in a "power enabled" match it renders you so ineffective that they are irrelevant. Additionally coming into the forums to tell people how they should play their game is a douche thing to do. Next time you make any life decisions take a moment and ask yourself, "what would the forums do"? Keep your ideas of how I decide to play my games to yourself and we won't have any problems.

It's actually a disadvantage, you can't Rez snipe with it so throw on your last words and rush they will be around 300 light while having ice breaker equipped so they should go down pretty easy

I'm not going to disadvantage myself, especially since I hate the system, just to make some scrub who sucks at pvp feel better. You are NOT a special snowflake. Not everyone is a winner. Easy solution locked loadouts in trials... But I bet you would bitch about not being able to switch to your truth then wouldn't you? Grow up, I don't like it either I'd love locked loadouts but I guarantee you switch weapons in trials quite often.

Remember, bungie felt too many players were beginning the game and using special weapons and influencing the match with these weapons. Bungie is [i][b]THE ONLY[/b][/i] developer I played a game from who OPENLY ADMITS they change and nerf their weapons because too many people are using a particular gun. Bungie are just bullies who want you to play how [i]they[/i] want you to play and use what [i]they[/i] want you to use. They openly admit in interviews, if they catch too many players using either a class of weapon (special vs primary vs heavy), subclass (hand cannon, vs pulse vs scout etc), or even a specific gun like thorn, tlw, Mida they will review for changes to force players into variety. Wtf? COD, Battlefield, fallout, Far Cry, etc.... I've never... [b]NEVER[/b]... heard of a developer changing or nerfing weapons simply because too many players like it and use it. F*ck Bungie. I say, use whatever method a player wants to resist Bungie's tyranny trying to bully us to using the weapons they want, weapon variety they want, or use weapons how they want us to use them. F*ck Bungie and their tyrannical control.

1 ReplyIt is only a problem because people are still playing competitive matches in the sniper lanes, even after special ammo nerf. Everyone is used to spawing and going straight to those typical sniper perches, so now they go to those spots and get hit with icebreaker. Switch up your routes people and dont give them easy shots by going to the typical sniper challenge spots!
