Is it ever going to get fixed? Because at the moment it's range is terrible, hit detection is way off, accuracy and handling is poor at best and it fires blanks. They took a perfectly good and balanced gun (all they needed to fix was the one shot glitch and a very TINY adjustment to range and that was it) and made it worse than garbage.
GG Bungie.

It's already fixed. Nothing's broken. That's the way it should shoot
-
Agreed. Exotic hand cannons absolutely suck now.
-
It's fine where it is...if people can't -blam!-ing judge the top range of a gun don't -blam!-ing use it...I did perfect with it in this trials map...know your -blam!-ing weapon.dont stay in the past...yeah it was a hard slap 2 times, but dammit stop asking for a buff.
-
It was not perfectly good and balanced it was cheap and easy to use to get kills with and took little skill to use. And that is why you do not like it now since it does take skill to use now.
-
It's kinda totally sucks more than a vacuum cleaner
-
Fix mah baybeh!
-
Totally agree
-
It's a shame to because X box didn't get to experience Hawkmoon in its glory days
-
Thought it was just me. Why did they do this?
-
Omg finally some one who's noticing blanks happens all the time with my shotty
-
Idk I used it in doubles and did pretty well, consistent head shots are rewarded heavily here
-
Yes, fix Hawkmoon. I have better results using Eyasluna and the Revelator for goodness sake, compared to an exotic hand cannon.
-
I have a eyesaluna with almost max stability and I it's consistency with hitting shots is terrible. First it gets triple headshots, next it can barely get a body shot to a warlock who is trying to get over a wall with his little glide. >_<
-
No idea what you're talking about... :P
-
This is true of all hand cannons. They were ruined. Last word still works because you're bound to get a few hits out of the 8 during the 3 seconds it takes to empty the clip.
-
Couldn't agree more with the OP. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it being able to 2-shot regardless of armor, that's why it was a goddamn exotic. Now it's inaccurate as all hell and almost never 2-shots. All they had to do was maybe tweak the range or something every so slightly so that it can't 2-shot high armor people from very long range - so a minimal adjustment to the damage drop off. THAT'S IT. Otherwise it was a fine gun that rewarded skill and sometimes you got lucky. All the exotic hand cannons are iffy now, wtf. Last Word is better than it was but still too unreliable I find - the hipfire accuracy just isn't enough and I swear the ADS does nothing. It's weird too because in the last control Iron Banner, the gun felt on-point for me and I was dropping people easily but since it ended it's seemingly gone back to being trash wtf? ADS accuracy is all over the map and even in close range, ADS or Hipfire doesn't matter you absolutely can not full-auto the gun which really, really sucks since that's kinda the point of it - it's supposed to be a CQB monster yet so many of the shots tend to go wild even when pacing my shots. Not exactly an amateur here either, was rank 300 in the world in year 1 and for a long time used TLW and Hawkmoon almost exclusively (and Thorn pre-buff. Used it a fair bit after the buff but I personally prefer it's pre-buff stats and would have rather they left it as it was and just buffed the poison)
-
Ya..It become a stupid gun in PVE. I don't understand Bungie. They like to destroy many Fun guns. Just ban Exotics from PVP. In PVP if one player have advantage other player will have disadvantage. Hawkmoon, Thorn was fun in PVE until people using it in PVP and get nerfed. Exotic should means Exotic...not "Meh"
-
Now to hit someone when they not even moving and the cross hair is dead on the head from a few steps away is also base on RNG!

Just reducing the range by 10 was enough, but 20?! Unless you understand Hawkmoon, you pretty much need to use Hammer Forged instead of Speed Reload.
-
Hand cannons should just be moved to the secondary weapon slot at this point. They do not feel like a primary weapon.
-
-
sad really.... One of the most sought after exotics in year one reduced down to nothing. I was more excited when it dropped for me year one than my Gally! They would have preserved the legacy of it in a much greater capacity if they wouldn't have brought it forward to year 2 being as bad as it is now. I don't even glance at it anymore.
-
Unless your hand cannon is last word level quick then you should not have to reload after each kill lol
-
I think you're right and I've noticed it with other hand cannons as well. Sometimes the bullets seem to not register or even disappear. TLW does it too but not as bad as Hawkmoon.

Edited by JimmyTheHand: 2/16/2016 1:30:06 PMIt should be fixed because it was like a slap in the face to all XBox users. As soon as they get legendary Hawkmoon, it's less than. It is definitely no longer exotic. I loved that gun in Year 1. Never a fan of Thorn or Last Word but that gun was so my style. Now everytime I get a 310 version it's instantly infusion material for any legendary which is better than it..... In case you were wondering that is most of them.
