Is it ever going to get fixed? Because at the moment it's range is terrible, hit detection is way off, accuracy and handling is poor at best and it fires blanks. They took a perfectly good and balanced gun (all they needed to fix was the one shot glitch and a very TINY adjustment to range and that was it) and made it worse than garbage.
GG Bungie.

Yep. Anyone else scoffing at the PLAINLY visible weapon info view glitch that shows two "double feather" perks instead of the other perk? What a hatchet job. No quality control exists in Bungie.
-
I agree. I was an avid Hawkmoon user since I first got one in Y1. Before I even knew its perks I just knew I wanted that dope ass handcannon. I've noticed as well that rounds seem to vanish at the worst possible times.
-
Xbox user here. I got my Hawkmoon at 2.0 TTK. It rocked! I hear it was a shadow of its former glory even then. Now it's just mediocre and no exotic weapon should feel mediocre. It's just sad.

I'm an Xbox user and used hawkmoon in the beginning of the taken King. It was still a very solid gun and you were able to actually consistently hit headshots with it if you can control the recoil, and now the hit detection is so bad that if it feels that you hit a headshot it doesn't register sometimes. There has been many times I lost a guns fight because a ran off thinking I killed someone when I did no damage to them and they end up shooting me as I push to someone else trying to gain better positioning. The main problem with the gun is that they just need to increase its range back to how it was in the beginning of taken King so that it could be usable, (having the same range as a Suros Regime which has decent range for a Hand cannon great for an AR) and just fix the hit detection.

Was my favourite gun in the game, can't believe they -blam!-ed it so hard
-
i never got to use it while it was usable :(
-
I know I just got my first one at 310 4 days ago. I was happy but I tried it and it didn't go well.
-
I was with you but then I saw you using thorn and then I said wait this kids a -blam!-
-
The range nerf was needed
-
Never had a problem with any of my hand cannons you just suck
-
I went flawless with Hawkmoon last night, I think it's just fine. Maybe your aim could use a buff though.
-
I just got it. It was the worst experience I've had in a while using a primary.
-
I don't even own it and I want to see it buffed

I'm of the view that the 2.0 nerfs were OK, and I'm even okay with the 2.1 damage nerfs. But the range nerf on this just seems to be killer for it. Initial shot is fine but the bloom on follow up is very erratic. My Eyasluna and Imago Loop are much more consistent. So yeah, you need to slow down and pace shots but I'm even having inconsistencies when slowed (shooting at about First Curse fire rate). Further - though it's not often, I've had body shots not register f/ 15 meters away... And no, those weren't misses. :) so there may be relevant hit detection issues too, but the big issue for me is the inaccuracies with follow up... Problems I don't have with my legendary HCs. For those going flawless in trials with the Hawk, that's awesome, but the ones saying this could probably go flawless with a necrochasm (if it comes to year 2). I'm only kinda kidding. :) But seriously, the Hawk isn't 'bad' and I'm okay with the damage nerfs with lucky bullets and the damage drop off at range but I would really like to see the bloom to be tightened so I can trust to spam fire the gun, if needed, at 20m and not worry about bullets flying around my targets. As an alternative bungie, keep the Hawk as it is and give me the option to have aggressive ballistics on my legendary hand cannons. ;)

Its still a beast

Hawkmoon, and most HC's, were definitely hit hard. Hawkmoon recoil and hit detection are either off or changed so much that getting used to it is just annoying as all hell. Mained Hawkmoon(my first exotic weapon) in year 1 for PvE and PvP. Switched to Fatebringer when it finally dropped in HoW to free up Exotic slot for Ghorn. Range isnt the biggest problem at this point
-
I only use my revalator. Best range in its time. I love it. It's on my warlock if you want to see it.
-
"Balanced" "All they needed to fix was..." Those are contradictory. It was ridiculously op and now it is a shadow.
-
Still pretty good. People use TLW and thorn so much that people think it sucks. It does in some areas but overall still good.
-
I think it's funny that the Legendary version if Hawkmoon is better now
-
It was my good friend, miss my hawk :(... He'll, bungie wants everyone to be running around with a sniper in hand... Now it is, sniper crucible, banner sniper, SNIPER TRIALS -.-
-
I don't have a hawkmoon and yet I know 8t was nerfed bad.

Bump for Hawkmoon. I feel bad for the Xbox guys who never got to use it at its former glory. Just a shadow of what it used to be.
