Hawkmoon was my favorite weapon pre-patch it just got so shit now though after the most recent patch. I couldn't put my finger on what exactly it was but it just doesn't feel right...

It just doesn't have that kick or umph that it used to have. You felt the actual power of the impact of pre-patch HM. I've tried accurized ballistics as well and it's still not the same.
