I hope that you two are happy.
It definitely caused an uproar (in both of our families) when I dated a black woman. But that was the early 80's and I would hope that such silliness is far less common now than it was then.

Thanks, and we are. It's not uncommon however to notice looks from people when we're out in public together.

I remember the looks. Most of them I took as "Damn! She's gorgeous. What is she doing with a guy like him?" Though not all were like that. Usually the older that folks were, the uglier their looks. But those people, especially since that was 30 years ago, are dead or nearly dead.

Yeah some of them are still around though lol. It is good to know that as time goes on, people are becoming more accepting of all kinds of relationships.
