No, thats different. You still listen to their old songs, the songs you like. I listen to a Korean girl group called 2ne1, I don't like all their songs but like majority of them. And will continue to buy their albums because I like them. I liked Season 2 of American Horror Story, then I watched season 1 didn't like it so much and now the show just seems to be going downhill. But I was in love with season 2. I still continue to watch and when I have time but eventually I will just stop because I don't care anymore. Maybe if I see an awesome preview on FX then it would drag me back in. But I never follow them and see whats going on in the show.
