No, It just shows the time you invested into the game. That being said though, you can still play for a long time and have a low grimoire score.

This I have played since 1month after release yet my grimoire is around 3500 why? I dont raid, I dont search for golden chests or ghosts and I dont play fireteam based content my mates are all PC gamers if destiny was on PC perhaps I would.
