Tell me how will they defeat the precursors who are beyond time and space and can warp reality? Heck how will they defeat the Forerunners and Flood?

Oryx and other ascendant hive put their souls in their own personal dimensions so that they can't die. Vex just friggin time hop across everywhere I guess (maybe they meet the precursors before they became precursors??) oryx will just take the flood and command it to his will. And warlocks are damn near invincible due to how much power they can fling around. I mean a warlock can create a goddamn supernova from their hands. That means that 1. They have enough power to destroy solar systems 2. They are able to contain and withstand said power. Halo can definitely kill guardians given enough time. But halo can't access hive throne worlds and they can't stop the vex because they are also coming from a different dimension. And if something were able to kill an ascendant hive then oryx could either take whatever killed that hive, or the hive can just do evil shit that reflects the ascendant hives personality and bring it back the hive dude back to life.

Edited by Edcub One: 2/20/2016 3:14:13 AMWhat is it that makes the Vex and Hive such threats to the Precursors, Forerunners, and Flood? They can simply freeze him in time or warp him out of existence.

While vex are admittedly quite easy to take care off you can't get rid of them because they originate from another dimension completely different than ours. And the hive can create these dimensions. Oryx's own ship is a dimension and within that dimension oryx is essentially a god. The only way you can oppose this God is with its polar opposite i.e. God to satan and darkness to light. Whilst oryx, while within his dimension, can still amass and create taken armies.

Edited by Edcub One: 2/20/2016 4:59:04 AMPrecursors, Flood, and Forerunners all have Interdimensional travel and posses the ability to protect themselves from alternate universes laws of physics through quantum shields, Oryx was able to be countered by our finite amount of light, so he is not supreme in his dimension. Also Halo rings work by killing the concept of sentiant life in reality, so those could probably kill him in his dimension.

They cannot create supernovas in their hands, if nova bombs were really that power for the planet would've been vaporized. Before you say "magic did it" let me show you this. Halo Silentium; ch. 33. As the reflective orb rotates beneath my ship, I see also the outstretched, feather-like plumes of vacuum energy pylons, drawing in the potential of an infinity of alternate realities ... aborting untold numbers of nascent universes to supply Requiem’s power. Strange that these cosmic deaths have never before struck me as cruel and futile. All of Forerunner technology has been made possible by drawing down vacuum energy. My own life, all that I know, arises out of cosmic predation. All Forerunner tech including promethean's is powered by this, if taking it it's high-end this means UNSC weapons can overpower shields with multi universal energies. So things that are obviously wrong should be ignored.

It's in the grimoire. So...
-
Official lore is not beyond questioning.
-
Then which information am I supposed to use? Yes some lore does seem questionable but it's canon nonetheless
-
If something breaks the setting like this does he can be ignored. For example if 343 said Spartans were ftl it would break the setting and could be ignored.
-
Alright then ignore my warlock statement but you must explain how precursors are older than the universe because I do not remember that being mentioned anywhere in the lore.

Edited by Edcub One: 2/20/2016 3:08:06 AMI will reply to this post in multiple posts to each of your points. And what stops the precursors from manipulating those personal dimensions? The Precursors are older than the universe itself (100 billion years at least) so time traveling to before time existed would be an issue. Also the flood is not mindless, it is commanded by the Primordial and 1000 other Precursors.

Edited by Garen Sol: 2/20/2016 4:51:04 AMThe precursors are essentials powerless in those dimensions unless the ascendant wants them to have power. I was not aware of precursors being older than universe. Where was this stated? Oryx can still take the flood. Just because the flood have "ranks" doesn't negate Oryx's power over them.

Here is the quote The Gravemind tells us something impossible to understand— that most of what has been gathered comes from before there were stars. We do not believe in such a time, but the Mind insists … The life-patterns and living wisdom of a hundred billion years. Bear, Greg (2013-03-19). Halo: Silentium (Forerunner) (p. 322). Ugh. I hate this layout. I'll respond to you when I get to a computer.

Edited by Edcub One: 2/20/2016 5:02:00 AMHow can they counter transcendent entities who are beyond time and space? I will find the quote. The flood infect reality itself when they reach key mind stage, this is beyond anything Oryx has shown to cope with.
