I will reply to this post in multiple posts to each of your points.
And what stops the precursors from manipulating those personal dimensions?
The Precursors are older than the universe itself (100 billion years at least) so time traveling to before time existed would be an issue. Also the flood is not mindless, it is commanded by the Primordial and 1000 other Precursors.

I was not aware of precursors being older than universe. Where was this stated? Oryx can still take the flood. Just because the flood have "ranks" doesn't negate Oryx's power over them.
