The Russian paid for a drink for both of them. He owed them that much, having heard what had happened on the planet had wired another two mil to the account.

Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 2/20/2016 8:42:22 PMThe man whom he had contacted for the job walked over, and sat down, recognizing the Colonel. Guess we've all been promoted, Colonel. From killing arms dealers to traveling the universe, I must admit, I'm enjoying this. Surprised the Rebs are ok with such close proximity to you gentlemen. Not too often such a thing happens. He sounded like his father, same American accent, same tone. The armor gave it the same metallic and cold sound as well.

"The peace required it. We had to show we were committed and I had a reputation of being more agreeable. You are under contract here now?"
-
They called my name at the peace accords. Guess somebody wanted me here.
-
"Your skill is unrivaled, your father was a legend in his time, you might soon eclipse him."
-
He laughs. Irony in it is that he never wanted me to follow him into the business.
-
"Father's never do."
-
Can't say he really ever wanted to be a part of what he was a part of. Debt's a hell of a driving force.
-
"Sounds like he was trying to protect someone, a man with his skills can look after themselves even if there is a debt."
-
He was trying to protect me. My mom and I were part of why he worked for Venom. That income would put me through school, keep us living comfortably, even though Mom was making enough. The other reason was because Schrader saved his life in Saudi Arabia, found him wandering the desert after an op went South. He owed the man his life. He believed in that philosophy, you always repay what people do for you.
-
"That's honor there. It's not always easy to do it but that's what makes it the right thing to do."
-
If you'd seen the documents and logs from Venom, what he did wasn't exactly honorable. There was a reason they called him the Hunter, or Venom's attack dog, and I'm sure you figured where that came from.
-
"Yes, I've read the files. It's wrong what he did, but it's the reason he did it"
-
Well... He seemed a bit uncomfortable talking about his dad, almost tense. He changed the subject. So what brought you here? They need someone who knows how to lead, or did they figure the Russians in as plan B?
