Hey Destiny community! It's your friendly neighborhood Roman here.
Now, I know there are more than a few of you running around with the Suros ARN-33 auto rifle. If you were lucky enough to get a stability perk, I'm sure you're a big fan of the weapon. It shreds in the Crucible, but because it's a rare, it's useless in Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris.
If you're finding that 7th Trials win elusive and still don't have the Doctrine of Passing, but are looking for a legendary auto rifle to compete, I've got good news!
Banshee is selling the Arminius-D in The Tower. For 2500 glimmer you can dish out all the auto rifle carnage you want. You'll have to wait until next week to actually get the gun of course, but it's well worth the wait.

I already have an order. If the rolls this week are shit, I'll keep it until next week.
-
I love my Arminius but the recoil is a little tricky to handle. Hoping the gunsmith will have one with better stability this week. My current Arminius has range finder, braced frame and crowd control and does alright. I really want a doctorine but I am way to shitty at trials (and PvP in general) to get one.
-
It is a beast. Highest aim assist (80) and RoF (100) of all autos. We just need someone to give the gunsmith a BJ for one with hidden hand and counterbalance.
-
Counter balance, persistence and zen moment ... that's all I'm looking for.
-
All the doctrine users are getting nervous. :O
-
Braced frame, counterbalance, and something better than persistence would make it worth the while.

Edited by BOWSER0897: 2/29/2016 1:00:51 PMI bet you love that D. ;)
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. It is a good gun also. I own one. Lol
I got my package ready :) also found a Suros ARN 33 today with hand laid stock but it's still a tough gun to handle. Some major pull to the right
-
Had the 'D' sitting in my inventory without even realising. Such a beast! Now I can't get enough of the 'D'. Just love a hot n hard 'D' in my hands, popping shots of my 'D' in guardians faces...
-
Arminus has higher aim assist
-
Got my doctrine with rangefinder honestly love melting people at distances the average auto can't. Got 3 orders in for the arminius-d and I'm excited for it. Personally the the muzzle flash from the arminius-d is not a problem for me. I kinda like the cooler more realistic look.

Edited by RaZe: 2/28/2016 12:03:47 AMNope no deal! Doctrine has more range and faster reload Ha you can't be serious with this post? Edit* Guys and gals, I was totally being satire :/ keep your knickers on lol
-
i have a 309 arminius it is my main pvp weapon, i love it soo much. my perks are relentless tracker, persistence and braced frame
-
I've had one with persistence, crowd control, and braced frame since week 2 of taken King lol.
-
Any recommendations on a pvp roll? I'm not too up to date with setups and such.
-
Arminus-d can't have persistence AND counterbalance, meaning most will stick with doctrine.
-
Doctrine does more damage

Edited by CandycabNGFL: 2/25/2016 8:22:25 AMStat wise its a re-skinned Dr Nope from year One, which crucible aside makes it pretty useless over all but really fun to play with. :-)
-
I added the stats for each weapon to end the debate about which is better. Base models are virtually identical. The difference depends on your roll.

Hey Roman, want to go bowling?

I prefer zarinaea

Thx 4 telling everyone.
-
I want the D. Been waiting for the D for awhile now.

Edited by Brusilnik: 2/27/2016 2:13:16 AMIf I could chime in... If you hold on to the package long enough, you could end up with something like mine. I picked up the package for the Arminius last time the gunsmith had one, which was a while ago and held on to it until a couple weeks ago. I ended up with a roll with the LB Assault scope, which improves range and optics slightly, Last Resort, Counterbalance and Smallbore. I HIGHLY recommend the scope vs the holo sight. I've had both on two different weapons, and as great as the holo sight felt, you need every little bit of help in the range department with this weapon. On the plus side, it's such a low zoom, you don't lose barely any peripheral vision with it. These are the stats I pulled off of my vault app after the above upgrades. Rate of Fire- 100 Range - 25 Stability - 56 Reload - 68 Mag Size - 66 I am absolutely happy with this setup, even though I'm mainly PVE, but last resort even comes in handy in strikes. It's totally manageable, and I use it to take down ultras from a good distance away fairly often. I just leveled mine up to 310 literally minutes ago since I want to try it out in IB, but I assure you it SHREDS in PVE, so I'd imagine it would shred in PVP also. Once you get enough practice with stick movement for the recoil, you can literally hold it in one spot like a laser beam. Hope this helps!

I think my K/D rise has a lot to do with my Arminius-D. I have hated bullet hoses in the past so I have stayed away from them until now. In a CQC environment, I win against almost anything most of the time. Sure TLW can get me but not much else can. The only thing I do not like about the gun is the muzzle flash. It obscures my targets a lot so I have to aim by feel in certain engagements. I just have to stop trying to out gun a Hawksaw at longer ranges.
