Hi everyone, I decided to start streaming various things relatively frequently. I will be playing mostly the following games:
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, 2, and 3. (My primary focus, but will only really play it when no friends are online.
Destiny
Battlefield 4
Black Ice (a very fun game but still early access.)
Maybe Warframe as well.
Cards against humanity with my good friends, and we will mostly discuss random stuff that may or may not offend you, but when we play cards against humanity we use cards that do not reflect our opinions on various touchy subjects.
And generally I will be commentating as much as possible but I'm not sure how best to do this yet, and I hope everyone who is even remotely interested will give me a chance!
I will not ask a single person to follow me. I will not ask you to donate money. I will not even ask you to watch my streams. I just want a few people to check me out and perhaps you will be interested in more stuff!
I intend to stream most of my gameplay and such, but will not yet have set times for streaming.
If you are interested, my twitch channel is under the same name as my gamertag: maxesmagic.
If you tune in around 3:00-4:00 pm central us time, I should likely be streaming then! I hope you guys will give me a chance! I won't ask anyone to stay if they don't want to, so come and go as you please!
Edit: just finished my first stream that was not a test! Got 3 followers already! I'm really happy that people enjoyed it enough to actually follow me!

I don't stream but I've seen what some streamers do that makes them less successful. Don't worry about view count. It doesn't matter how many people are watching you whether it's 1 or 1,000. If there's only 3 people there, act like the world is watching and talk to them. Thank all the support you get and don't let it go to your head. Know that you aren't going to get big quick. There are hundreds of games streamed every day and thousands of streamers. You most likely won't become a huge streamer at the beginning. Don't start streaming because you plan to do it full time. It probably won't take off instantly so don't plan for a full time job of streaming. If it works out, go from there. Be consistent (probably the most important) Have a schedule of days when you stream and stick to it. Have a Twitter to keep people updated on if you can't make the stream etc. Also find something you enjoy streaming and stick to it. That doesn't mean you can't stream other games, but having one game you rely on is important because you will build an audience that enjoys that game and enjoys watching you play that game. Thats the best I can do. Good luck streaming. Keep a positive attitude and most importantly, have fun.

Dont be an anxious, anti-social, ball of shyness like me. It's taken me 4 months to even start talking to people over a mic, then I just went bleh and yeah. Be social.

Take off your shirt, no matter the gender;)

I do YouTube, which is similar to twitch... I guess, so I have a few things you should do. Stay active Don't be a generic, no offensive streamer. I'm not saying be a racist, but you won't be followed/donated to if you just sit their avoiding anything that could offend people. Be interactive with everyone Get some proper channel art set up

Be friendly and make that one person in your stream deal like a king or queen make them feel special and interact with everyone yes everyone even the trolls but just be friendly and a cool Name!!:)

Will there be boobs?

Try to stand out, and be confident. Because let's be honest, the world of twitch is already over saturated, and being just another gaming streamer is gonna be tough if you don't find a way to diversify yourself (outside of being a female, for obvious reasons *-_-)

Wear your pants on your head for some easy attention Said this in another thread, don't be so boring you kill your elderly audience You got this

Shameless bump...

Do something that other people don't do. Go and do something unique

*sigh* bump...

Can we get any other replies? I guess not many people are interested in a new streamer. Especially a relatively shy one...

Advertise, rehearse to generate a good natural flow when recording. Be interesting, interact with viewers, don't get an ego.
