Should I? I'm thinking about it. The fact that it's free is pretty appealing to me and the fact that there is so much hype around it is also pretty nice.. But I'm not sure. I'm planning to try it out and just dive head first into the game to see what's up.
But I want to hear the communities thought, what do you think? Is it a good game? Tips, anything to say to someone who is starting out new? :)

Do iiiit
-
Sort of necro bump. Yes u should and if you do, add me
-
It's free. You have nothing to lose. Be warned, the community is pretty unforgiving towards new players
-
When I eventually get a PC that's one of the first things I'm getting
-
Go for it, it's free after all.

Edited by MongotheDread: 2/29/2016 10:12:26 PMIts a great game. I play it a hell of a lot. My tips would be to get used to last hitting minions early on and learn about how itemization works. Also focus on not dying over everything else if you want to avoid the wrath of all the toxic 12 year olds. Also I would not suggest playing norms with level 30 friends unless you are fine with going up against more experienced players. If you are new to the game you will generally be placed with other new players, but if you play with higher level friends you'll be placed with higher level enemies. And also buying runes early on is fine, but keep in mind that tier 1 and 2 runes will become useless once you can get tier 3 runes. And keep in mind that unlocking champs and runes will take time, so be careful when you are trying to pick a champ to unlock. Maybe try them during free weeks first. It took me almost 3 years of playing to have everything in game unlocked, so don't worry if you feel like you aren't unlocking very quickly. If you or anyone wants to add me I'm: Grokmir the bold

Edited by Psyntifik: 2/29/2016 10:08:16 PMYou'll either love it or hate it. AP BLITZKRANK OP! I prefer Heroes of the Storm.

Edited by CeasingCobra31: 2/28/2016 10:10:51 PMMe and ALL my friends prefer Smite. It's a more (in our opinion) immersive and fun game. Just not a fan of the click to move or birds eye view. (Smite is free as well on steam)
-
No. Get Smite instead.
-
Prefer smite. I dislike the top down view as well as the toxic community.
-
Get Smite instead, way better.

Edited by TheLima: 2/29/2016 6:06:17 PMCommunity is terrible. One toxic person in a game can ruin it for everyone else. But i still love it and play it way too much
-
Id give it a shot, community doesn't get too bad (IE nothing worse then you would see on Xbox live) until later levels. Ranked is Abidmal (so much so that I refuse to play it) but the game itself is worth playing
-
Game is fantastic, but the community is so bad that you'll be sworn at in ways you never knew existed, told to kill yourself, told you and everyone in your family should get a variety of diseases, and reported for being bad 100 times. All within your first 24 hours. So basically, can you handle the toxicity and/or have friends to play with? Go for it. Fantastic game. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen, don't get it.

BLITZ MID FTW Never forget that
-
For sure, but be sure you have a group to play with. If you're interested, I've got a group of people who won't tell you to kill yourself for buying the wrong items XD
-
coughs HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA No.
-
If you want to play alongside the most toxic community in gaming history, then yes. But then again, we all have played Destiny so we should be prepared for toxicity.
-
-
I would recommend it. There's no aspect of pay to win and the game is very skill based and can be a lot of fun. The community is shitty and toxic but can be ignored. Feel free to add me: Leap Kill Reset
-
If you do, be prepared to use the mute button, like... A lot! Just a friendly advice

Edited by PlutoIsAPlanet: 2/28/2016 5:54:08 PMGo with friends in guiding you through the game. Plus you're gonna have a love - hate relationship on the game if you so get into it.
Plus mind that the community is toxic as hell. Another reason for sticking with your friends in the game.
-
I got bored of it pretty fast. I think it would be better if I had friends that played it,maybe. But definitely try it out.
-
I like Dota 2 better, you get all the characters for free. The only things you have to buy is cosmetic and sound items.
