WELP HERE COMES THE LOGIC OF THE ORDER OF OPERATIONS IN ALL CAPS. ARE ALL YOU KIDDIES READY? WELL THEN LOOKING AT THE USUAL "PEMDAS" ACRONYM WE HAVE:
P- PARENTHESIS
E- EXPONENTS
M- MULTIPLICATION
D- DIVISION
A- ADDITION
S- SUBTRACTION
SO WHEN WE LOOK AT OUR PROBLEM WE SEE THERE IS A SET OF PARENTHESES WHICH CONTAINS (2+1) THIS COMES FIRST. SO NOW WE HAVE 6/2(3). HERE IS THE CATCH. JUST BECAUSE MULTIPLICATION COMES FIRST IN THE ACRONYM DOES NOT MEAN IT COMES FIRST. MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION ARE THE INVERSE OF ONE ANOTHER. SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? THIS MEANS THEY ARE EQUAL IN OPERATION. SO IF TWO PARTS OF AN EQUATION ARE EQUAL IN OPERATION THEN WE DO WHAT IS NORMAL...READ LEFT TO RIGHT THUS: 6/2 (3)=9... IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS GO BACK TO 3RD GRADE AND READ YOUR NOTES.

Actually multiplication doesn't come before division and addition doesn't come before subtraction. Go ahead and strike me back with all caps and I will prove you wrong

But... you just said what I said. Read. MULTIPLICATION and division are inverse so that means they are = in order. Basically if you have 1×1×1÷2 (3) its not 1/6 its .5(3)=1.5. When you get to the point where equal operations appear then you just read left to right. Reread my post. I'm in college calc with a b so I'd think I'd know....

Sorry my bad
6/3 (3)=9
Then thats 6 buddy

It's 6/2(3)= 9 same principle, typo on my part. Fixed.

Just helping out

Please people with a brain use your head and comment on my statement so dummies don't take after the idiots on here. ... this is elementary math people.
