It looks like it will be worth going with an Oculus/etc. let's face it, the big leap forward we had in past gens just wont happen, now is a good time to get out of consoles, especially with no longer having to run ms, you can now run a linux box for games, with the reliability and savings that brings. Star Citizen is offering some great early buy ins, $25 U.S. For the single player, and the mmo, and a starter ship with like 3 month insurance (being a perpetual universe, that is handy, and by the sounds of things you will have to run the single player first, and get a ship from it), that's a fantastic deal to anyone who player Freelancer or Wingcommander. Add to that the whole fps element you can't go wrong.
