Why is nudity more rejected than gore in our society?
Why in our present world, a naked body is more unsettling than a beheaded one? What's so bad about nudity, that makes it even worse than blood and gore?
I'm really curious about why nudity is seen as a taboo, even in the present...

2 RepliesBecause people don't want their kids to be introduced to pornography or sexuality in general at a young age. Seeing a guy's foot get shot off in a movie or video game does not affect them permanently. Nudity is exposing one's reproductive system. Gore is just special effects that add to the realism of something.

No one wants to see us naked. edit - also, most of the "gore" we see is fake.It's hard for me to get offended by some makeup and special effects. Now, a morbidly obese, 55 year old man with no pants on? That's offensive as -blam!- to me.
