Pretty sure that has to do with momentum and the way tracking works. I already know hit detection/lunge range is broken but it makes sense if you go further without a lock on.

Well it makes no sense to me. I should be able to swing just as far.

Maybe, I have no idea. Bladedancer was my faovrite non-Warlock subclass until they nerfed/broke BD hit/range, blink, arcbolt, and quickdraw.
