It still wouldnt work even with tether. The shots show as yellow dmg because its considered a crit midifier on the buf, not a precision hit. The precision hit is also a crit modifier but registers differently. This is why if you take something like say Bspindle or a gun with tripletap it wont proc on body shots even to tethered targets.
