Hey fellow Guardians!
Wanted to ask your opinion on The Taken King expansion experience!
I'm a year 1 player who stopped playing right after the House of Wolves got released. Played all the missions and got over the content real quick. Long story short, recently updated and started playing again. Enjoyed the nice little differences but getting to the stage where i've done everything.
So my question is is TTK worth the $60 (price over in Australia) did you guys actually enjoy the things that were on there or will i be disappointed at the lack of content?
Cheers in advance!

save it :) they didn't even released all exotics yet ....
-
Thanks for the input fellas! I'll just hold back on it and wait for it to be on sale or wait for an expansion combo or something!
-
Buy another game or wait for next dlc.
-
I would wait for it to go on sale or just completely wait for the next expansion😃, which will be inevitably be announced in upcoming weeks. Bungie is definitely planning something with all these lack luster weekly updates. As for me, I played TTK until December from its original release. I guess the content just got too grindy for me and I saw potential in other games. TTK tends to take more away then it adds, but if it does go around for a sale I recommend you pick it up.
-
I would at least wait until its on sale.

If you got friends for raids and nightfalls yeah its worth the price. If your a solo player you better be pretty damn social in order to raid/nightfall. Joining a clan doesn't hurt and ATM with pve content this game is pretty dry. However like I mentioned playing with friends hides the repetition of doing raids 3x a week also makes it quite fun. Playing with friends makes the crucible less of a chore. Lastly there is suppose to be a spring update that gives us more pve content and a significant light level increase.

Definitely not don't waste your money
-
It gets old real quick. Plus the weapons are rubbish compared to y1 meta
-
not imo
-
No, I'm my opinion you should just buy another game
-
No don't buy it ... Your better of just getting the division
-
Just buy the division instead destiny is dead.
-
Everything you got in House of Wolves is worthless. The dreadnought is ehh and the raid is crap. You might as well wait until the next content drop and update so when you play, its worth it. Old raids give gear with old low stats so its really pointless until they update it all.

Edited by AJIc3CoLd: 3/4/2016 8:19:04 AMGo buy the Division, save your money for a real game, don't waste it on Destiny, with a hundred and one problems to address the community manager is instead having an interview with the sound department on twitch next week, makes no fuqing sense.

It's fun. Once the the quests dry up and you start getting shit drops in the raid consistently it loses its luster though.
-
A lot of people will tell you to buy the division and yet they still troll the forum. Buy it enjoy it move on, you can take your character progress into destiny 2. A bit of new content will be out in the coming weeks as well.
-
It has an incredible amount of content compared to old dlcs. People whine about how stale it is right now, it's only stale if you habe no life and play 7 days a week. I think it's worth it, and the infusion system is pretty neat.
-
i mean yes its kinda worth it but when you finished all the quests (which takes some time) all you can really do is the raid and hope rng smiles upon you,
-
The Taken King has a good chunk of content, more so than Crota's End and House of Wolves. If you take your time, use all the new subclasses and such, it'll consume a good chunk of your time. Or... You can just blow through everything in a day or two and they cry about how there is now new content on the forums. lol To each their own.
-
Don't use the Australian price. Foreigners won't understand. And yes it was worth it. FYI $60 is for the legendary edition. Not just ttk.
-
I enjoyed it - in fact I still do, but I didn't race to do everything straight away.

Hold fire and wait for Bungie to announce anything, cause last thing you want to do is purchase TTK, to find it irrelevant and replaced by another DLC of some sort...
-
I enjoyed it : ) if you wanna do the infinite link quest line let me know?
-
I loved it when it was released so I think you might too. Right now I feel a little sour towards it as no new content has been released in 6 months and I've exhausted everything this dlc has to offer.
-
It's been well worth it for me. You'll get plenty of negative responses too though. It's more content than the previous DLCs if that helps, but the new end-game activities replace the old (you can still play the previous stuff for fun).
