I play destiny because I play with my friends and we goof off in rumble? We also have fun trying to do the raid with less than 6 people? We have fun revisiting old missions and talking about destiny lore? Try and go to the lighthouse in trials even if we suck? We do plenty of things to have fun in destiny. But weren't there 8 missions in the beta? For me it was pretty forgettable so forgive me if I don't remember. If I wanted to play a 3rd person shooter with cover I would go replay the mass effect trilogy or gears of war.
