Zion stalks the halls of the cruiser, walking with no clear direction in mind. He wasn't certain how he got on board. One minute on the teleporter... The next... Not so much. The crew shot him weird glances and uncomfortable looks. Though, he didn't seem to care. The intention was to hail a nearby private military cruiser... Instead, they launched him into deep space. At least he could get answers here. He wanders into the flight deck and stands, blank expression and calm demeanor. He was hard to miss. Bright blue eyes, white hair, pale yet glistening skin, chiseled tones and body. He looked like an angel... More so... A lost one. His eyes scan the room for signs of anyone willing to give him answers.
Open. And yes, I won't forget this character.
-
"Okay. C'mon. Let's go." It starts walking towards the end of the hallway.
-
Zion follows him, but it's hard to tell as each step is quiet, making no noise. Not even the sound of breathing escapes him. He acts as if a ghost. He finally breaks the silence with his quiet tone. "So, how long have you been here?"
-
"A few months."
-
"Plenty of time then... Good to have a more experienced friend." They return to silence, Zion following Bloodbender's steady trek.
-
They eventually reach a multitude of doors. "Crew's quarters. Pretty big rooms."
-
"Mhmm." Zion seems impressed. It was certainly different from the halls of his old monastery.
-
"Yeah, there's a lot of people here. Heard we might be getting a new recruit soon."
EPIC FORESHADOWING
-
He shrugs. He didn't know anyone or how the crew worked so most of the details went over his head. "Shall we carry on? I'm eager to see the rest of the ship. My superiors would be quite fascinated by such a place."
-
"Superiors?"
-
"Well... Just one. A man named Damièn. He's taught me everything." Zion seems pleased, as if talking about his friend is relieving.
-
"You seem happy about him. Must be a good guy."
-
"He's old... But yes... He is kind. Fatherly almost. So what about you? Come from a far away land?"
-
"Yeah. Real far away."
-
Zion frowns. Clearly this man wasn't for small talk. "I see..."
-
"I don't like to talk about it."
I still haven't specified gender.
Edited by Chesh I Guess: 3/6/2016 10:58:04 AM
Oh well...
"So what do you do around here?" Zion talked more when he was nervous. But his voice and posture would give nothing away.
-
"I mostly wait until they need me to kill something. All I'm good for."
-
"Right..." Zion trails off. Not a fun subject. Zion had only been in two fights... Both of which ended in brutal massacres of his opponents. "Still a nice ship."
-
"That it is. That it is." It begins walking down the hall again, this time a little slower. "And, by the way, some of the crew aren't as... Nice as I am. Don't be surprised if a few of them are jerks."
-
"I will be fine... I have learned to suppress fear and anxiety." Zion puts his hands together in a praying manner before letting go.
-
"What was that about?"
-
"Meditative state. Once reached... I feel no guilt, remorse, sorrow, anxiety, or anger."
-
"That's bad. Really bad. You need stuff like remorse and feelings in general, really."
-
"Perhaps for others... But it keeps me together. Wholesome so to speak."
-
"Okay then. That's a little weird, but I'm not one to judge."
