That's a compliment.
GAMEZONE is saying "jeez wow destiny was an amazing game and this just blows [i]that[/i] away!"
It's trying to put it in perspective. I don't think it's in any way trying to do anything other than advertise their game and over-hype it some more.

The quote was about the division beta having many more players than destiny's beta, not game quality. Basically Ubisoft misused the quote to fire shots (but mostly to ride on the success and recent massive hate destiny has received).

It's just a marketing ploy. Like "yeah you guys know Destiny? You know how popular that was? Well this is BETTER!" If they did fire shots at Destiny then they weren't meaning to, they would have used it no matter what game they said.
