How are firebolts with the burning perks OP?

[spoiler]they aren't[/spoiler] [spoiler]try to prove that they are OP[/spoiler] [spoiler]you can't[/spoiler] [spoiler]it looks like some of you don't know how to stay back or run and communicate with your teammates to also stay back[/spoiler] [spoiler]it takes up 2 perks and doesn't even kill you[/spoiler] [spoiler]its not OP , its ok[/spoiler] [spoiler] I said STAY BACK and people or I mean retards are still saying IT LEAVES YOU ONE SHOT FOR 14 SECONDS,SO OP and that one shot thing isn't that good more bullshit like that [/spoiler] [spoiler]there is somethings that do this thing called KILL[/spoiler]

    Not really on topic, but I find it funny that hunters want arc bolt grenades buffed back to how it was in Y1. Do they forget that the "OP" storm caller will have the grenade too? Guess they'll be calling nerf on more than just the supers if it happens. "WTF STORMCALLER GRENADES TOO OPIE PLZ NURF BUNGO"

    • It's an omnidirectional multi-target seeking grenade that does the same amount of damage no matter how far you are from the center of the damage radius, has a very short detonation timer after impact, and applies a burn that takes you out of the fight for 14 seconds or so. The burn is the major issue. It shouldn't last nearly as long as it does.

        You are essentially one shot for 10-14 seconds. It's way too long and on top of that they have high range and auto targeting for an entire 3v3 team. Sunsingers are the best subclass for 3v3 and their win rate being higher than every other subclass in ToO is a great example of that

        • It's not the firebolts burn too long or anything It's that people go into Trials with 3 sunsingers and can instant wipe the other team with nearly no effort whatsoever. Basically, it's people using game mechanics to be hella godly. Not their fault, as I believe everything should be used to the max, but maybe make it so only 1 burn can stack and the initial hit from the second firebolt only does a 1/3 damage That way you can maybe survive it

          • I guess I'd say it's OP if Sunsinger was any good without them. Sunsinger is straightforward. Excellent grenade, excellent melee ability, & that's it. There is no extra passives that help out like Pulsewave, Shadestep, Keen Scout, Shoulder Charge, Cauterize, QuickDraw, Invis... Nothing. Sunsingers literally have no extra abilities that make them cool. They have a fantastic grenade and melee and that's it. And to add to this, their super game is literally the exact same as their neutral game. Without those firebolts w. VF + ToF Radiance is trash too.

            • Firebolt isn't OP. DoT is. Firebolt effectively removes you from the fight for an extensive period of time, this is what needs to be addressed. Double the damage, halve the time.

              • I'd be perfectly fine with the way they are now if throwing knifes with incendiary blade burned players 100% of the time, like they're supposed to. But they don't, in fact in my experience I'm lucky if they work properly 50% of the time. If one burn, that only lasts maybe 3-4 seconds with minimal DoT, doesn't work reliably, then why should something that lasts at least twice as long, with twice as much DoT, be any more reliable?

              • I main a warlock and will admit firebolts are a dang pain. (I also hate sunsinger and strictly run voidwalker) when there is 2 sunsingers in a 3v3 running firebolt that crap is the biggest crutch ever. Prove me wrong, it's just as bad if not worse then 2 plebs hard scoping a hallway

                      • I like how lightning grenade can KO instantly on any of it's 4 waves, tripmine is KO within a huge radius/is motion activated but a grenade that can't KO is considered op

                        • Bungie already nerfed the firebolt grenades in the past, so the grenades are not the problem. The really problem is the DoT and the length viking funeral and touch of flame has. I made the suggestion, that they should lower the DoT like they did with the Thorn. After that, it should be fine.

                        • Firebolt has so much range that it's really hard to miss. If you put around 40 damage into someone, toss a Viking funeral firebolt somewhere near them, they will die. If they don't die, you have around 10 seconds to put one shot of damage into them, then they will die. It's currently too strong right now. Yes, it takes up 2 perk nodes, but you aren't giving up much. You are giving up either a few seconds more of radiance and a chance to generate an orb on a scorch kill, or angel of light. The only perk that you are giving up is the double grenades. But if you toss two firebolts and they both hit the same person, it does around the same damage as a burning one. But you have to take the time to throw a second grenade, and you don't get damage over time.                             I don't really care, but for the sake of this post I will give an argument. One hit from a firebolt grenade that has touch of flame and Viking funeral will leave you one shot absolute. The burn damage is worse than pre nerf thorn poison. Burn time is 14 seconds ( I think. Somewhere around that) The range/reach of the firebolt is longer than that of the unnerfed arc bolt grenade and does twice the damage. Even though op says that it takes up two spots, it is very worth it cause the other perks are not even that good, and really excel in PvE. One good places firebolt could leave a whole fireteam of 6 one shot absolute. [spoiler]thats all I can think of at the moment. There is your argument op[/spoiler] [spoiler]Bungo plz nerf fusion rifles!![/spoiler]
