Hey fellow guardians, last week I ordered myself a scuf controller. I was wondering who has one and what is your experience using it?

Edited by Lamamike: 3/29/2016 11:02:53 AMToday I finally got the controller, SCUF send it to me as prommised within 7-11 workdays. (On day 11) but with al the holidays the delivery took some extra time. My first impression: Positive: * Looks and feels great! * The button remap function is easy to use. * It has the tools to give you an edge in games (but you need to practise) Negative: * The analoge sticks look a little plastic. * The magnet for the remapping is easy to loose (so ill put a tag on it). * It does not fit in my ps4 charging station. (The paddles prevent it from fitting :() More will be added the more I use it :)!

Its been 10 workdays since I ordered my controller. (March 5th) Yesterday they send me an email saying that they started working on it, so according to their 7~11 day prommise they have 1 day left to get it trough: Engeneering lab Customization studio Testing lab And packing department Goodluck with that! Then it will take a few more days before it reaches me by post :)! Lets hope it is not going to be a big delay.

How are you getting on with it? I like to comment on these posts as many don't have first hand experience.... however I do love my Scuf been using it for a few months my friend used it for a bit prior to that but couldn't get on with it. I'm not really concerned with build quality if it breaks I'll pay to get it fixed and once its worn out I'd certainly buy another .... it ads a slight edge to my game and if you use it with puppeteer barring changing weapons you always have your fingers on analogue sticks and triggers.

Xbox Elite controllers are the best by far. Surprised Sony hasn't released their own version.
-
My only question is why didn't you make this thread before buying it? Scufs are garbage quality. And for ps4 there are a variety of button controllers that are more comfortable and give you the option for 4 buttons on the back instead of 2 paddles.
-
I have one its amazing but sometimes it glitches out I use it mostly for cod
-
i'm only assuming you're on PS4, otherwise Elite all the way the scuf sticks are garbage. i've bought at least 8 throughout the years and never had one not break
-
£120 for a -blam!-ing controller? Shit to that.
-
Xbox elite is better in multaple ways
-
Use an elite controller.
-
Elite controller all the way
-
Modded conteollers are the best

Edited by NobleSavageNeo: 3/8/2016 12:14:54 AMI got myself a Hori Plus FPS controller . No vibration or mic port but it's set up like an Xbox controller but retains the PS shape . Lightweight and the trigger buttons are so much better . There's no real advantage but it feels ace .
-
I changed my controller settings to jumper and immediately decided against buying a pro controller of any sort.

I use a scuff.. I will never go back.. It doesn't seem like a big deal but get used to a scuff then go back.. It's real hard.. But the biggest thing is a scuff won't make you a better player by any means.. It just makes things more accessible
-
I love my scuf sooooo much, but in games like destiny the only real impact is reviving someone and being able to ADS and move your reticle. But in games like BO3 (<3), it allows much more elites gameplay for movement
-
I have a scuff but ended up removing the paddles and changing the thumbsticks to standard ps4.
-
I agree, they should buff fusion rifles.

Edited by Lamamike: 3/7/2016 5:32:51 AMWow so many comments! Im thankfull for all the great tips and warnings/personal opinions that I got! Ill be paying close attention to all the things you guys warned me for. If it is total garbage like some say I will send it back. Ill be updating this post once I get it and give my honest opinion. :)! Note: if you get wrecked in pvp than it is me with my scuf controller!
haha J/K I probably still suck at pvp
My personal issues are as follow -grips faded in 3 months -left paddle button broke in 2 months. Not the paddle itself but the button underneath the paddle. -joystick grips worn away but I'm aware it happens on all controllers.
-
I dont use scuf i claw :)
-
Use claw and don't waste 400$ on a controller
-
You wasted your money. Buttons break, sticks crumble, color on some parts is only millimeter thick so color fade/wears off quickly. Scuf=garbage

Keyboard & Mouse Master Race
-
It's great but trigger stops can't be used. It won't aim or fire weapons unless you remove them or mostly loosen them.

I went the Xbox Elite route for my ps4. Very impressed with the Elite build quality.
