I apologise about that. Most people that argue against me when I talk about lore in the game's activities mostly use arguments like yours simply because they can't think of anything better. I'm tired of it, and you just came across as another one of those people. Sorry. Anyway, while your point is vaild, I didn't say that the Nightfall and/or the Strikes in general are there to spread lore. My point is that with the evidence the game has given us in Story Missions and Quests, it makes sense why Bungie chose not to bring the Y1 strikes to the Y2 Heroic and Nightfall playlists.

  • That might be true if it were consistent. But it's not. Several of the strikes are pre-ttk, including Omnigul now that it's back in the rotation. That predates the death of Crota, which is a part of the taken king storyline. Plus, some of the old strikes were updated to include taken enemies, which completely breaks the lore. We've already killed Valus, yet now we run that strike with taken involved. Endgame activities are not meant to be limited by lore. Doing so limits replayability tremendously. The idea of endgame activities is to have something to do once you have reached the "end of the game", and have completed everything related to the story. I'm sorry you misunderstood me, but I never said anything against the lore in my comment. I simply stated that nightfalls aren't there for lore purposes. I stand by that. If strikes are rotating randomly and being modified to include enemies that didn't exist in them when they were current anyway, then there is no reason to leave them out.
