I don't see why they're bigger than streamers who are actually good at the game like mtashed, Wish You Luck, tripleWRECK, Giggle Monstar, Gamesager, Realkraftyy or WaRbulletpoof. Can someone explain this to me? Why would you watch a streamer even though they're not that strong of a player?
UPDATE: We even beat Goth 5-2. This proves my point.

Same reason mr fruit has a YouTube follower count higher then all the pvp players combined... because people enjoy watching him more.
-
Entertainment and charisma
-
They got popular with HoW. Right time right place.
-
Enigmatic personalities generate a following.
-
Bunch of circle jerkin fgts
-
-
Personality, its entertainment. They arnt my fav but gotta get those positive vibes
-
They appeal to the general audience, the casuals and newer players. They have personalities, and get most viewers by simply being a host and interacting a lot with their viewers. They make people laugh and seem to have a lot of fun playing, which is fun to watch. I prefer to watch skilled pvp players the most. kjhovey, truevanguard, luminosity, and realkraffty are always on my watch list over the weekend.
-
Charisma.
-
Because they're a couple of the sexiest mofos on the planet. I don't watch streamers too much but if I do, I'll watch those two.
-
Wish is a weird douche, everyone else is cool
-
I like kjhovey, true vanguard, and managator personally
-
They are decent at the game, but I've never been into their personalities that much.
-
Because they're awesome guys, do a lot for the community, are engaging, interactive, and kind.
-
Well on Fridays I see Realkrafty carry Goth on trials and such so I'm guessing that gives krafty some viewers. Also I think it's vice-versa when it comes to raiding.
-
Cant -blam!-ing STAND goth. His face and voice make me want to strangle kittens for some reason. Hes just so loud and fücking annoying shit just thinking about it makes me want to punch shit
-
I think it's due to 2 reasons. 1. They started destiny when it first came out, as most streamers did. 2. Probably the more prominent reason, is that they are so likeable. After almost 1 1/2 years of watching Gothalion I still come out of his stream laughing.
-
They play different games not just destiny

Edited by Hado-3: 3/10/2016 3:15:15 AMI think they are great people both inside and outside of twitch, and they want to have fun playing games.
-
Because, (and I know this may seem far-fetched) but some people like certain peoples personalities more than others.
-
Because teenagers like you watch them. Try not giving them your views? I recommend Sports, Hobbies, and Education. Those used to be pretty big back in the 90's

Just because somebody is good at the game doesn't make them a good streamer. An example would be She's My Nerd. It's sorta self explanatory.
-
Because they were some of the first streamers to play Destiny, and a lot of people like to watch them on a daily basis.
-
Chat interaction and people think they are entertaining to watch

Edited by Azule: 3/10/2016 3:18:24 AMThey had a pretty decent following before Destiny was released. That's how twitch works, more viewers=more attention to their channel. Besides, you don't need to be good at a game to get viewers. You just need a combination of luck/personality/consistency. Both Broman and Goth are both really nice guys and don't take their popularity for granted(although I don't watch too much Broman, he's a bit too loud for my taste), they constantly try to grow the Destiny directory in Twitch by using their following and moving it to other streams(usually by "raiding" a fellow streamer after they're done.) -Triplewreck could have as much or maybe more views than them if he streamed more often. -Giggle does very well but he streams at very late hours and can only get so many viewers. -Wish can be very rude to viewers sometimes but he's not a bad guy, and I think many conceive him to be a dick -Mtashed is more of a YouTuber isn't he? I don't believe he streams often either -Gamesager is the same reason as Giggle, although he isn't as big as him -Realkrafty is doing VERY well, he streams quite a bit and has a great personality -War hasn't been streaming consistently on twitch very long, but his winnings in tourneys have made him grow very quickly You don't have to be good at the game to get a large following on twitch. Especially in Destiny, there are many players that are good at the game and try to stream it. Being just good at the game doesn't make a player unique enough to get attention.
