TAKE HEAVY OUT OF THE GAME!!!!
BUNGIE RUINED THE GAME WITH IT'S NERFING!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Right, so all of these are things I have seen on the Bungie forums lately. They are issues that people have with the game which involve nerfing. Now all of those reasons I have listed as well, I may of paraphrased some of them to make them more sarcastic yet the fact is that they are reasons given by people for why they want different things nerfed. If you have a look, almost every class of both weapon and guardian in the game is OP in some way yet no one seems to notice that.
Right now, many of the guns in the game either have some sense of balance or redeeming feature to make them have their own niche area where they shine like the last word. Perhaps instead of constantly nerfing or asking for them, we should instead focus on making a balanced playing field. The kill times found on many weapons today is quite average compared to other games in the FOS industry so why not use this current meta as a baseline on which standard guns should be held to. Constant nerfing will do nothing to help fix broken guns, all it does is create openings for guns which were previously average to slip in and become "overpowered" like with the Multitool.
People keep crying for nerfs, yet all that does is create a self fufilling prophecy. People will always try to use what they see as the strongest gun, so when they see someone claim it is broken they may try it and decide to use it more. As that person uses it more they may get more kills which leads to more people complaining on the forums which carries on until someone either finally finds a counter for that gun and publicises it, someone whines about something else or Bungie nerfs that gun.
