Because when the competitive streamers get killed in PVP they talk trash about the loadouts and methods used by the person that killed them. This leads to alienation of an audience segment which uses the same loadout/method the streamer talked trash about and those people stop watching.
Goth and Broman seem to understand they are, first and foremost, in the entertainment business and rule number one is not to alienate people. It's just bad business.
