Funny thing is, you don't need to grind to be competitive in this game.
Being 320 is unsatisfying and pointless. I was having more fun at 310, oh and I could still do hard mode raid and be competitive in IB.
So your post is pointless, you don't have to grind to get a 320 ghost or other gear. Max light is useless.

I am also 298 light, a random consumer who has invested maybe 20hrs since kings fall. If community manager, I would expect more of myself in terms of understanding the product I represent.

He is a messenger. Nothing else. 20 hours is not a lot of hours since TTK. Maybe you should play the game more rather than complaining about it, seeing as you haven't invested a lot of time.

I would, if I was community manager.

He isn't a manager, he is a messenger. He is the bridge between the community and Bungie. He tells us what Bungie want us to know. Nothing more.

Work and life just gets in the way. We can't all be jobless people who mooch off others work. Someone has got to work to pay the bills. I'm sure he doesn't get paid enough for all the shit people threaten him with.

Playing Destiny should be part of his salary, yes. And ultimately Deej is not the problem. But he represents it: a company disconeted from its community, perpetuating errors that could be easily fixed. Part of what infuriates me about Destiny is that it is a great game, but could and should be so much more.

They release information when they want to and no amount of hounding for more information will help. They make the game how the developers want the game to turn out like. They have a 10 year plan. It consist of a big release and a year of DLC. While they are working on the next release. They keep there servers up until the next release for those who are late to joining the party. Then comes the next big release and a year of DLC and so on and so forth. I don't blame for wanting to concentrate the mast majority of there resources on the next installment that they hope to release this Fall. In fact I would rather let them forget anything they have planned for patches/DLC and focus on the next release. This way we don't have the massive amount of problems that happened with Vanilla Destiny.
