so what makes you a furry if you don't have a furry suit, nor like that type of porn? do you draw furry art?

I draw clean art of my own character and I'm a furry to help with my social anxiety. I'm usually really closed and it's hard for me to start conversations (this does not include indirect conversation such as this forum) but my character I made up is very open and has no trouble communicating. I use him as a role model because I think you should be yourself and not try to be like other people, but since I made up my role model, I am being myself AND being who I want to be.

A big bulk of us who make up the fandom have what Hello mentioned earlier "social anxiety". We are mostly quiet and reserved. So, our presence on the Internet goes unnoticed. Therefore the Internet only gets fed the clickbait crap about our fandom and the fandom is portrayed that all we are attracted to is porn stuff or w/e. Even many of us Furs get sucked into that notion that that's all we are. Especially new Furs to the fandom. It is equal parts sad and frustrating.

Also I actually do plan on buying a fursuit when I can afford one. (They are actually REALLY expensive.)

You probably shouldn't do that, it's just my opinion but if I saw a Kickstarter for someone to buy basically anything I would be like "why should I help you?"
