No it doesn't. It means he has had up to a 318 shell from the raid. He COULD have had a 320 & lost 2 light levels from it, but it doesn't mean he must have had one.
However, that would still mean (assuming dread explorer drops around 280) that he has had to get 5/6 shells to infuse it.

Exactly my point, he's grinded and knows the feeling. He'd do something about it if he felt it was too tiresome.
