The boss battles are insane!
Forget boring names like Theosyion; the Restorative Mind, Phogoth; the Untamed or Alak-Hul; the Darkblade. Today, my team and I fought a boss called Animal. Animal! It was awesome!
He wasn't equipped with a lame Guided Rocket Salvo, Back-Mounted Arc Howitzer, or clad in silly Glowing Husk Armor or a High-Gravity Replicating, Pressurised Powersuit either. He was wearing a hoodie. Not just any hoodie either. A blue one. Wicked.
Did I mention his weapon of choice was an SMG? No, not a Singularity Materialising Grenade. A sub-machine gun!
The bossfight mechanics were super-dope too. No Relics, Auras, Brands, or Swords. No Gaze Holding, Cross-Dimensional Platforming , Darkness Cleansing, or Orb-Dropping. No siree..
Get this.. you have to hide behind cover.. and then shoot him when it's safe to do so. WHAT!? AMAZING!
I'm totally looking foward to fighting more bosses. I hear the degree of variation is stunning. One is even said to wear a beanie!
UPDATE: Whoa! Second boss down! Super intense fight, bros. The diversity is stellar! Green hoodie this time. GREEN! Is this even the same game!? I can't wait to see which colour hoodie the next one wears. #CreativityTooStronk

Because we need aliens shooting laser guns in a game taking place in modern new york. Would a boss surfing in on a tsunami of Mountain Dew chugging a Rockstar with a rocket shooting machine gun suit you're fancy?
-
This has humored me, Thank you.

Mate listen. Before I start just know that I love destiny. And when the new update drops I'll be on here again playing like a man possessed !! And I play the division. Put in a few hours there too. I enjoy both games. But for different reasons. They offer me a different experience. My question to you though is this. Do you do this with all games ? Do you take aspects of a game that you don't enjoy and compare it to aspects of destiny that you do enjoy ? I ask because if you do that then you will be really disappointed. Some games are geared towards a modern reality fell and others are space magic. Comparing them against each other is fine. The problem here is the way you have done it. You have let your bias for one thing get in the way. It's ok not to like the division mate. It's not your kind of game. When I see these posts I kind of cringe a bit. I know you are defending destiny. But dogging another game and comparing YOUR likes against YOUR dislikes subtracts any credibility your post may or may not have. Too many people are posting things like this and it makes me think that more than ever people are worried about the division. There is nothing to worry about. People like different styles of games and women and food and so on and on and on. We are all different mate. But this post makes it look like you are scared of something when you dress up your own opinions and try to present them as fact. Anyone can do what you did and reverse it mate. Good luck guardian !!

Were you the guy who did the "Oryk son of Croat" thread?
-
Serious question. What other games do u play ?
-
You know what I love about destiny? How Bungie has listened so much to their community and displayed the exact direction they're game is going! If only Massive did that... Also, Bungie isn't being greedy at all! $20 so I can high five other people and do the Hotline Bling!?! WHAT A DEAL!

Edited by Unforgiven: 3/17/2016 7:50:01 AMSome many desticle tears in this thread its hilarious. If you are going to defend Bungie at least try not to sound like a total douchebag attacking a perfectly good game with actual content
-
67 down votes. Lmao
-
The Division certainly has its flaws, but I think it's unreasonable to knock the lack of end game content when it isn't out until next month.
-
Edited by Unforgiven: 3/17/2016 12:01:40 AMDivision actually requires a little bit of skill and thinking to play. Its not even an FPS. It's a tactical 3rd person RPG shooter with RPG elements. So comparing two games is like comparing apples to oranges. The funny thing is tho Division feels fresh and has tons of content. Where as Destiny does not. There you go! So far I am having a great time in Division. And even though it is grindy. It doesn't compare at all to Destiny's grind. Dark Zone is actually a lot of fun. just went into there last night. Can't wait to go again.

Yea that's the difference between make believe and real

Edited by lPewp: 3/16/2016 5:51:55 PMI 100% agree with your statement, You forgot to mention that The Division has the most compelling and intense PVP experiences I've seen to date!!! Get this, there is currently only ONE game mode to play. THIS IS SUPER FUN. My favorite part is wandering around the map for 10 or so minutes before encountering another player. Then once said player is encountered, we don't have to engage in combat, we can do jumping jacks, so AWESOME. "Spoiler", don't shoot anyone and you won't go Rogue! You could potentially roam the map for hours without having to get in an intense battle! Oh and mentioning Maps, there;s only ONE in the Division! Super cool. I was tired of battling opponents on places like mars, venus, and the moon!!
-
hahahaha thats gold!!! I played the division, didn't grab me like Destiny did when i first played it, I'm already hearing a lot of big youtubers already feeling like they're running out of things to do...
-
Hadn't i frecking muted you already?
-
LOL A destiny fan making fun of the lack of diversity in other games bosses? You havent noticed yet that basically every single boss in destiny is jsut a reskin and an enlarged form of one of the average enemies found in the game?
-
Exactly! Right?!???
-
Was this boss in a mission? Or in the streets? I stumbled upon a named boss in the streets twice n one dropped a "high-end" weapon. I wish I knew where u can find them. And I wasn't in the Dark Zone. I know there at bosses in DZ.
-
Sarcasm is annoying
-
If I remember correctly, the boss "Animal" is a heavy gunner, who walks around wearing a partial set of stolen Riot Gear. He also loves spamming grenades at you and exclusively uses incendiary ammo. He has a red box on his back pack that contains his ammo, hit that enough times and it sets it off causing him to be stunned and sustain a lot of damage.
-
What a stupid post.
-
Not gonna lie you got a laugh out of me. Started playing the division early this korning after work and I'm having a lot pf fun though. Better believe I'll be back on destiny pnce there is new stuff to do though.
started playing again for twilight garrison, finally got it last week.
-
So, basically you won't be happy until the Fallen invade New York? Good times, bro face.

Edited by Solid Snake3324: 3/16/2016 6:48:11 PMYup Division is already kicking bungo butt http://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-division-breaks-more-sales-records-passes-dest/1100-6435683/
-
What? Human enemies that don't have superpowers and use guns?!?!? THE BLASPHEMY
-
It's almost like The Division is not pushing for some sort of sci-fi space opera like Destiny. Was I mislead? Is Tom Clancy not the creator of Firefly? Damn you Ubisoft!!!
-
Edited by Prof Sheitbag: 3/16/2016 5:01:56 PMI got a trendy beanie, and put it on - it was blue! Then I got another beanie, and it was green! I didn't realize blue was "trendy" now! The Division is opening my eyes to the world of fashion! In all seriousness though, the Division is Ubisoft's attempt to milk the faux-MMO-on-a-console market. Devs/Pubs see the success Bungie has had and are looking to replicate it. What pisses me off though is I see now why there has been absolutely no news from Ubisoft on another Splinter Cell - they took the SC team, had them take a reductionist apporach to Blacklist, slap some color tiered weapon/gear drops in a section of Manhattan, and call it the Division. And they didn't even get that creative with the weapon tiers - "Let's just copy every other game in existence". F*ck me, dude. If you played Blacklist or Conviction, and you played Destiny, then guess what? You have played the Division.
