Dear Bungie Ive seen that in the app store there is unofficial "pirate" Vault apps which require you to sign in your microsoft or playstation network account and may be stealing information from users.Or privacy.

Then just don't use those apps
-
There's multiple apps/chrome extensions that do it. The Ishtar commander app is fantastic, along with the Destiny Item Manager chrome extension. I've used both for a long time and had zero issues.

To have access to the vault at all they need to be using bungies api. And as far as I know they sign in methods with the api don't allow either bungie nor any third party access to your information as the log in is handled by sony and Microsoft. Could be wrong though but that's how I understand the usage of the api. Also bungies api is public thus unofficial apps are not "pirate" they are perfectly legit.

The Bungie/Destiny API is an open source that is usable by anyone. Of course, there are risks to using third-party applications, but that's at the expense of the user. Bungie has a terms of service and use which cover this. These apps are, for the most part, entirely legal. They do require, just like Bungie.net and the Companion app, for you to sign in through PSN/XBL since your Destiny account is tied to those.
