1 new Strike in 7 months is an amazing news
Not 0 new strikes, not 0.5 new strikes but a whole 1 new strike. Isn't this incredible? In 7 months they've made 1 new strike. I always thought it'd take em at least 24 months to build a strike but no, i was wrong, it only took them 7 months. This is where Bungie shines. Astonishing developer.
Let me tell you something, Bungie can delay Destiny 2 until 2018 because that new strike is what i and my fellow guardians will be playing for at least 1000-4000+ hours.
No one ever asked for VoG/CE relevancy because its old content and no one wants to play old ass shit. A brand new strike that may be longer than 10 minutes (can you imagine that? i simply can't, its that impressive) is what we've been waiting since September 2015. I cannot wait to spend my time in this meticulously made Strike.

What I'm guessing is that it is a strike taking place within the prison of elders. Like, the Taken have infiltrated the prison and Variks wants you to remove them before they spread.

11 Replies...Let it sink in that you're complaining about FREE content right now. Not paid content but FREE (unless you spent money through microtransactions). Bungie could've said -blam!- it and just alternated between Iron Banner and SRL until Destiny 2. This community has to be the -blam!-ing worst hahaha

I wonder if it's a new strike or a run a mission backwards. I won't think anything new new will come out before next big thing but just retro-fits of existing stuff: weapons, gear, enemies, bosses.

They still have 3 weeks of reveals over the next month . If they do it right which to me seems like they are trying their best they will renew old content and give some new hopefully allot of new missions to keep us busy until the next dlc comes out 4-6 months later. If they can just revise the old raids with weekly challenges along with PoE, Srl and maybe just maybe custom PvP games. We will have more than enough to play until then. They didn't fail us in TTK and I don't think they want to fail now. Would you of rather of paid for a dlc like TdB a few months ago with 3 story missions a strike and a raid that while fun wasn't as epic as VoG or KF? Or would like some free content to hold us over until the next major release?

This is exactly what everyone here wants though. If you don't enjoy waiting 7 months for each significant update, you should stop crying. Anyone who expects updates to take a reasonable amount of time is just an entitled crybaby.

4 RepliesGuys, Yes free content is "free", but let's not forget that microtransactions were intended to fund the live team, so for those who have paid for the overpriced cosmetics, it's not exactly free. I suppose to those who didn't it is free though. Something that people need to keep in mind though is that this isn't Bungie trying to be great guys and give the community a bunch of free stuff. They are a business and I'm sure Activision is not happy with the player base dropping so low and that's why they flip flopped on their plan for year 2 (saying no DLC and then adding DLC). This is about self-preservation for their business (and that's fine), but let's not act like its some heroic crusade from Bungie.

2 RepliesFree content is free so it really should be damn near impossible to moan about it. It's like buying a girl half dozen roses and she complains she didn't get 12. I think it takes a miserable and bleak soul to find fault with free content. Having said that, there is ample reason to moan for lack of paid content or the quality of the paid content. They promised a 10 year plan and though developers can never produce content as quickly as the players consume it, I don't se why the paid content is also now being pushed slower than it was in year 1. Where is the paid DLC that the game desperately needs.

First off your article title, "1 new strike in 7 months is amazing news" I fixed it for you and your welcome =) Second, it's a mini roadmap of all new content and plans for the update. If Bungie added a whole bunch of; new weapons, higher light, PVE challenges, crucible sandbox and updates into 1 strike, that's amazing!! Third, I'm preparing to cook dinner for my girlfriend and I'm all out of salt, can I borrow some from you? Finally, if this was satire, I don't apologize. This type of complaining or joking about it is way out of hand. If you hate this game or Bungie do us all a favor and leave it alone for people who do like it. Haters are allowed to hate now =)
