Personally, i think that they should be toned down, not nerfed. For example, a simple damage decrease of 15% would do the trick. Since fusion rifles are in the direct competition with the shotguns, the range can be lowered to 10 feet as well. Otherwise its not fair for those using a shotgun. Let me tell you something, this is balanced Fusion Rifle and if you're unable to kill anything, you're bad in this game.
