I'm all for equality under law of the LGBT community.
A lot of the issues you are talking about have nothing to do with rights. Nobody has the right to make their parents accept them. I also don't know if it's a good idea to change sex Ed to conclude all different kinds of sex. Reproduction and safety should be covered and that applies to all people. I definitely don't believe the government or insurance companies should be required to pay for someone to have a sex change. That's an elective procedure.
Advocacy helps but remember that works are the most important thing. You can talk all you want but it's nearly impossible to change the hearts and minds of those who have a certain belief. If you feel strongly about these matters you should volunteer your time to working with LGBT youth. It is important for these people to have mentors and others they can relate to rather than someone on a soapbox.
