We paid for it by buying destiny. Bungie just gave us a part of the game in year 1, and sold the rest as doc. Technically, we paid for this content way back in 2014

Only parts of the Dreadnaught were supposed to be in the base game. Many parts of the Dreadnaught were altered to accommodate TTK storyline...
