Why do I try to bring others to my faith? Because God instructed us to do just that. I sincerely believe Christ opened the way to the kingdom of Heaven and showed us how to get there. So when I "push my Christian Agenda", I am doing so because I want others to make it there as well. Nothing bad comes from anybody who follows the faith.

In the pursuit of that reward, you cannot help but to learn how to genuinely love your fellow man in the process, even those who hate you. Can you claim to love even your enemies and genuinely wish the best for them? After all, Jesus made it very clear that those who sought to esteem themselves will not be esteemed. He instructed us to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecuted us. Yet you think there is evil in that logic. Why?

  • Yes those priests certainly loved those young boys. Some might say a little too much. Who are these enemies you speak of?

You give examples of those who committed evil. Those priests did not follow Christian doctrine when they carried out that abuse, nor did the people who covered for them. If you do not know this, then you do not know Catholicism. As such, you have no grounds on which to criticize it. If you do know Catholicism and yet choose to attack doctrine anyway, then you are a liar and I will waste my time if I talk to you anymore. Also, from the way you are acting, you try to make yourself my enemy but I do not consider you as such. I am hoping that you are speaking from anger and from experience and not choosing to willingly mock my faith. Because the former would reduce your culpability more than the latter. EDIT: Also, I don't know why you think it's funny to joke about molestation. I think it's a very serious issue, yet you think it's okay to poke fun at such an evil? Why would you think it would ever be okay to make light of such a thing? Why do you laugh at those little boys?

  • I didn't realize that Catholics were shielded from critique unless it comes from other Catholics. Lesson learned. I only asked why you involve Christianity in a majority of your responses. It seems pretty pointless to be enemies with an anon on a video game website.

  • Shielded from critique? Perhaps many are. But I would avoid making such a blanket statement about Catholicism in general, considering we rose up in the midst of persecution. In fact the most famous among us are those who have been persecuted for professing their faith. Heck, Christ willingly allowed himself to suffer one of the most brutal executions known to mankind, and we strive to be like him.
It seems pretty pointless to be enemies with an anon on a video game website.
Agreed. I try to stay out of hostile arguments. I'm not always successful, but I do try.

  • Have you explained how the Catholic faith has officially stated they don't condone being LGBT but they don't not accept them into our faith. We do not discriminate unless it is hatred being shown.

  • Chances are Olmeck already knows that, but doesn't care.
