Not really, the only place I'd say is open world is the dark zone and safe houses. Open world in the sense more than just the players in your group populate the world.
Btw it's always nice when you can spot the 12 year olds by their gamer tag lol.

Wtf? Do you even know what an open world is? It means you can roam around a large game space to your liking. You're talking about a central hub area where players can interact with each other.

I'd say I've pretty much beaten the game, 30 and all high end gear pretty much. Like I said the only place in game currently you see players outside your group is the dark zone and safe houses.
