Everyone is arguing if this update is "free" or not. Anyone who bought the emotes and stuff is what paid for this. GTA has free updates all the time but you can buy shark cards. Rocket league has a shit ton of updates but has a 3.99 DLC usually. Nothing is free, it's just an illusion of being free. That being said, those games pump out way more content, for less money, in a faster time.

Exactly, the microtrancation part is good because it covers the cost of stuff thus making it free for everyone. But rockstar can produce small content updates monthly. 7 months for a small content update the first one that will have stuff actually stay in game? BS. Yeah it takes time to make stuff but a small content update does not take that long.

Yea, especially with a big, funded team. I honestly think it's their engine, and by extension Activision.
