While I get the nature of the OPs post, there are some really cool things in the Division that would really make Destiny better.
1. Continue to grow the NPC interactions. Not just with the ever loved Cade or creepy Eris, but let's get to some settlements and help people build stuff. The idea of the base of operations that grows with your abilities is really cool in the division, but I think having some perks and bonuses in Destiny as you rebuild the world would be pretty awesome. As you build things, NPCs react to you differently. Like, now the JTF guys I pass by wave at me. That would be cool.
2. In-game Grimoire. Like the "Intel" section of the character screen. The videos and audio files are so freaking cool. It's not like Bungie doesn't have the number of tons of vocal talent. I love reading the grimoire, but I would love to see something more interactive added.
3. Continue to tell the story with the setting. There are some really good parts in Destiny, like the Hive Seeder that crashed into the Jovian Complex, the City in Venus, or the handless skeletons at the door to the archives. Dude, what happened to their hands???
4. I'd love to be able to craft things, but considering the fairly limited armory for Destiny, it won't be super easy.
5. Cosmetic items please. Man, I was thrilled to get the pom-pom beanie and trendy jeans in the Division. All I need is a histper scarf to be a total douchy sacrifice in the DZ! I'd love to see more of that kind of thing come to Destiny. Like in the concept art.
For me, I still love the Destiny game play. Running around and shooting aliens is still super fun! Face punching dudes, sticky grenades, crazy jumps and sweet slides =) The Division is a very different format for a game, but I do think that there are some great ideas to "borrow" for future Destiny content.
