When The Taken King expansion released, I purchased it in-game on Xbox 360 the moment it was available. I have been playing Destiny since day 1 of its release. I really do enjoy playing this game. I recently got an Xbox One and now I have a digital copy of Destiny through a friend's profile. The problem is, when I log into Destiny on the One, it says I do not own The Taken King. I have friends that only play Destiny on the One, and other friends that only play Destiny on the 360. I would really like to play with both sets of friends, but as I do not have The Taken King on the One, I am SEVERELY limited. I am not in a financial position to pay for another download of TTK. Is there any way to get TTK without paying for it, yet again? If not, I will continue my infrequent play sessions on 360 only and delete Destiny from my One altogether, as it is just taking up space.

Same situation as you. I bought the limited edition ($80) on launch and then bought the digital edition ($30 on sale) for free upgrade to xbox one (when I get a xbox one). I then bought the collectors edition upgrade ($60) on 360 the day taken king came out. I got a xbox one 2 months later and learned that taken king doesn't buy cross-gen. I put $170 into destiny and now I can't even play the game because mandatory dlc (basically). So I won't touch destiny till I can get collectors edition upgrade for $30 (probably never going to happen).
