Honestly, Taken gear doesn't seem to work lore-wise, and neither does PoE dropping gear from other raids. Why would there be Taken in PoE, if we removed Oryx? Can someone else Take enemies? Who's overseeing the Reef, since Mara Sov and Uldren are lost? Skolas is also eliminated, so why go back to PoE? Then again, Bungie made the Grimoire viewable on a 3rd-party site, so questionable decisions regarding lore are sure to happen.
