Ugh! It has come to this and I so badly hoped it wouldn't. I'm officially... bored with Destiny. How can this be?! Jay and I pretty much play every day and lately it has been nothing but Vangaurd strikes and bounties. Joy.
"But AyeJay, there are lots of things you could do after most of the story missions/class missions/PVE quests are done! Why not play in the crucible? PVP is the best!!"
Ah yes... the crucible... Where your skills are pitted against others who either play nothing but the crucible or are like me and have nothing else better to do but need a reason to play. Lets just say I have a "love-hate" relationship with the crucible. I'm not the greatest player on Destiny but I'm telling you, I'm constantly paired up with people way worse than me or with ones who just DGAF. Very rarely am I put on a team that meshes half way decently. And since I'm not exactly the "gotta-make-friends-with-every-person-I-meet-on-Destiny" kind of girl, I'm limited to my choice in fire team crucible members. Jayson9253 and I work really well together when we play, his ONLY fault is he doesn't talk much - in PvE and/or PvP. Which is funny, cuz he's usually sitting RIGHT NEXT TO ME on the couch playing on the other PS4/TV set up!! He gets into this weird "zone" when he plays and even though there are 2 screens in front of him I still get "well, I didn't see them" when I'm blown up/sniped/shot/titaned due to lack of cover. SMH. That "zone" of his has caused me many deaths in PvE and PvP, even if it does make for some rather funny moments in real life. Oh the commentary...
Another point about playing in the crucible that makes my life more frustrating is I'm only good in SOME of the matches. Like Control. I'm great at control. I tend to get decent points and ranking in control, but for some freakin' reason or another if I play Rift or Salvage... the suck is real. Elimination? Insta-death. Clash? I start to cry... Rumble?? You can find me hiding in my closet. Don't even get me started on the Iron Banner or Trials of Osiris... Ugh. I do try though until the frustration gets so bad that I'm literally wanting to walk away from the game forever.
So then, since I'm only partial to the crucible, is this poor lass to do? PvE... until boredom has completely run everything into a blurry mess of Vex bodies. I have a hunter and a warlock at 303 light and my poor Exo titan is bringing up the rear with some random light number I can't remember right at the moment. I have completed all my tasks for my hunter (minus a few vanguard crucible quests and all 3 raids), I'm getting very close to that with my warlock and hopelessly stuck trying to get the stupid sleeper simulant (who the frack decided to make the last bit of the quest for that stupid weapon the S.A.B.E.R. strike on very hard?!?!?!?!). I've tried to other exotic weapon quests (like praedyth's ghosts for the no time to explain) but I just can't do them on my onesie and Jay... Well he tries to help. I'm a lone wolf player who has "team up and kill em" tasks to fulfill and don't know enough (nor like enough) players to help me conquer what is left. So "hello boredom! How are you?"
What I find funny is that my "boredom" with Destiny has come just before the "big April Update" that Bungie has been teasing us with. More PvE challenges? Ok! More loot? Don't mind if I do! More stuff to do?? Yes please. So I guess the boredom wont last too much longer... But how long until it comes around again, hmmmmm?
Enough crazy girl chattering, I'm off to go fight off my real life Dregs and Cabal for the time being and then after jayson9253 gets home from work and I my gym class, we has some food, and a shower, I may curl up on the couch with him and put around doing strikes and bounties in game for a bit... MAYBE venture into the crucible... who knows. Until the next time~~ ---<--@
