Sunsingers op?!?! If so then so are nightstalkers.

Okay, so ive seen alot of posts about Sunsingers and how "op" they are and its getting annoying. Lets compare the infamous firebolt with the hunters "Wombo combo". [u][i]Firebolt[/i][/u] ------------------------ - Does a TOTAL of *** damage, not enough to kill even the lowest of armored guardians.(SEE EDIT) -Has DoT for around 12 seconds (some say 14, some say 10) -Firebolt has an 8m radius in which it tags. Does allow "tracking" by watching the DoT BUUUUUT warlocks are the slowest and clunkiest race so it is harder to chase the enemy. <---- thats called trade off. Warlocks can be situationally amazing and of course they will be harder to kill.. its a defensive subclass and is built that way. [u][i]Wombo Combo[/i][/u] ------------------------------ -Takes away radar -cuts movement speed by 50% -does damage -blinds the enemy visually -locks abilities, supers, charged melees and jumps ^-----thats just the "Smoke" portion of the grenade. Their void grenade choices all do damage and can visually impair other guardians trying to see or shoot through it. BUT wombo requires both grenades to be thrown to be 100% effective. Dont forget how they [i]can[/i] be thrown virtually simultaneously. Its trade off. If the hunters had all of that in just ONE grenade then theyd actually be op.. but they aren't. TL;DR [b][i][u]Neither are op and excel in certain situations better then other subclasses. But if you proceed to call one of them op in anyway then you HAVE to consider the other one as such.[/u][/i][/b] [b][i]Edit: So it seems alot of people are misunderstanding my point. Im NOT saying firebolt and wombo is the same style or do the same things. What i AM saying is that most who consider firebolt "op" due to just its DoT must thrn consider wombo as "op" because wombo has 4 times the effects on an enemy and while it does take 2 charges, its also on a character that is faster then warlocks, has access to an evade and keen scout. You cant consider something op due to one fact while ignoring classes that have alot of advantages similar in concept.[/i][/b] [b][i][u]Edit:[/u][/i][/b] [b][i][u]Alot of people keep saying that firebolts leave you at one shot.     • Viking Funeral just needs an adjustment to where it does double the burn damage instead of making you burn for longer. That is literally all that needs to happen to Sunsingers. Sunsingers are not OP, Viking Funeral is and was always OP. Nightstalker smoke could use an adjustment as well to where it doesn't cancel out your grenade and melee charge (player doesn't feel as hopeless) and the shadestep glitch should be fixed. Balance achieved, hopefully.

      Wombo combo is using a melee and a grenade. The melee charge with envemoned does less total damage than all the other charged melee abilities. All of them. I don't get the crying that a SMOKE grenade blinds you or slows you down. Go get hit by any other classes melee and grenade at the same time and see what happens. Oh, that's right you die. Firebolt gives an auto targeting grenade that can leave an entire 3 man team absolute for 10-14 seconds while letting you track them. Nightstalker can get a few players on heavy if they are close enough to the center of the smoke and are in the grenade damage range which requires you to have both your grenade and melee up while landing both of them at the correct distance in order to get them stuck in the smoke to allow for the grenade to do damage. Nightstalker is anti sunsinger class and you really need to look at is that they have the worst PVP super in the game and the worst selection of grenades of any subclass. Wombo combo is good if you are accurate with it. I consider myself to be a pretty good player and most of the time I don't get the wombo just right to actually get the kill. There is a skill gap.

          I bet most people here have never even heard of this "wombo combo" unless you're referring to the smash bros thing (which you aren't)

                • I don't care what they buff or nerf, however, the reason people complain about it is not the amount of damage. It is how long it can put you out of combat. If it was about damage then the titans overcharge melee would be getting all of the attention with its 180 damage at once. But no one cares. One sloppily placed grenade shouldn't be able to take away the enemies combat effectiveness for that long of a period of time.

                  • No....Titan Shoulder Charge is OP....unlimited, no real recharge time...Gunslingers should get unlimited knives and Warlocks unlimited void melee to compensate.

                            • I like how as of late Sunsingers are now Overpowered. I've been using this 'OP' build since I maxed out the Sunsinger subclass back in week one. You know what I never heard back in year one? People complaining about it being too good. But now people are complaining well after the Firebolt nerf? K.

                                • I use warlock, stick people with firebolt, watch it not kill, then get one hit melee by hunter. Every ability in this game is broken. At least for me. I even got video recordings of shoulder charging with Titan, not getting kill, and being a one shot melee hit by Titan. I only rely on guns. Everything else is broken.

                                  • Sunsingers haven't changed at all since vanilla. All of a sudden they're OP. Snipers haven't changed at all since vanilla. All of a sudden they're OP. Heavy ammo has been nerfed since vanilla. All of a sudden it's OP. People on these forums are the most pathetic whinging little bitches you'll come across. No wonder Bungie takes so long to make any changes, it's impossible to decipher what actually needs balancing and what is the latest bandwagon whinge on here.

                                    • I don't like firebolts because you only have to hit with 1 bullet after a nade, and you have so much time to do it, until they Regen their health . And their melee is so good.

                                        • While I can honestly say neither are "op" the warlocks sunsinger class is better than the hunters nightsalker class. And the firebolt schorch melee combos is deadlier than the wombo mombo everyone thinks is effective.

                                              • First of smoke grenade does not do the same amount of damage as a firebolt grenade. The only time you actually get a kill with the wambo combo is if your enemy is stupid. Literally all you need to do is jump 2-3 and then your out of the smoke and grenade. One thing that can change though is the damage over time on both firebolt and smoke, that I am ok with. The warlock is still the most over powered class at the moment because it can get an overshield without even actually killing the enemy, they need to change that so overshield activates only on kill. They also need to change warlock jumps cuz they're garbage :/
